as that famous carnaval song goes, 'carnaval, i love you'...and i do.

friday, i went to school to join in the shennanigans of carnaval. you
may have seen me; i was the one in the corner with the big red wig, a
beautiful moustache and glittery golden cheeks.

i was in charge of presenting the carnaval in english. 'and now the
four year olds will perform the dance of the typewriter' and so-forth.
of course, my enthusiastic introductioning skills were met with
applause that measured approximately 0.0 on the applause-o-meter. the
main reasons for this were that the audience consisted of spanish
parents and the kids ranged from three to five years old.

nevertheless, a good time was had by all.
