i watched the most infuriating tv programme on bbc2 last night - home.
basically, the cameras go into peoples homes across the country to prove that we are all individuals. the worst bit was watching upper class nonces furniture shopping. they spent thousands on...crap. the furniture was alright, but i suspect that if you put furniture for sale at your local tip in a stylish warehouse furniture store, you could make a packet selling it to these idiots.
they also follow interior designers with horrendously big budgets doing up a room. now, personally, i don't think you need any qualifications to be an interior designer; you just need good taste. this bloke last night did nothing outrageous, he chose nice furniture, nice tv, nice carpet - it was nice. i could have done it.
fortunately, the series ended last night. phew.

::From your last few posts I have deduced that you are quite an angry man aren't you?

I'm sat in a room with the ugliest curtains in the world. They make me want to gag. Fortunately I can live safe in the knowledge that no interior designer spent a fortune on them, but seriously a blind man could do better.
Ahhhh, student accommodation!
