i work in big buildings

i have a new housemate. he is from a baltic country and is a little strange.

'smalltalk' is something he takes very personally and isn't
particularly good at it. i asked him what he did in madrid, he looked
me straight in the eyes (when i say that, i mean he eyeballed my soul)
and said 'i work in security.'

he laughs like a maniac and his eyebrows turn up at the ends. he
thinks very carefully about everything he says, which makes
conversations both awkward and unnecessarily long. plus, he lives
opposite my room.

for the first time since living in that flat, i've been locking my
door when i go to bed...
