strike
Wednesday, May 10, 2006today, the teachers are on strike.
this means that apart from me and jane, there were two other teachers
at school today (normally there's 20+); neither of them were english
teachers. thirty kids turned up in total (parents had the choice of
whether to bring them to school or not), which left the english
classes to us.
fortunately, english teaching involves colouring in, singing, dancing
and general malarky if your students are 6 or 7.
all meaning that today has been a rather regular day and not quite as
bad as i'd expected.

::Dammit why didn't English classes mean colouring in, singing and dancing for us eh?
Actually no, I would have hated that. Why didn't English classes mean maths and robots?
