clean streets, a tired matt
Wednesday, May 17, 2006it's hot in madrid at the moment.
unseasonally high temperatures of 30ºc+ have made the weekends rather
nice, but being at work miserable and sleeping impossible. my current
sleeping attire includes not very much (steady boys), although even
with the windows open, it's uncomfortable.
add to the equation last night two men who decided to wash the street
outside...at 5:30 in the morning. the madrid street cleaning team
included;
- one (noisy) truck, filled with water
- one (noisy) high pressure hose
- two (noisy) brushes
- one (noisy) man, shouting instructions to the other man (who was
quiet, although made nosiy by his noisy brush)
all in all, i wasn't that impressed.

::I've got a litle desk fan thing which makes things almost bearable (set to oscillate, of course).
I never like sleeping in the buff as I get scared satellites can see me through my sky-light and then when I'm famous (one day) The News Of The World will have nuddie pictures of me...same with our toilet.
We have a noisy rubbish lorry (as in trash, not just a shitty lorry) which cruises around EVERY MORNING (bar weekends, obviously - this IS continental Europe) and just makes me cringe. So looking forward to the peace and quiet of downtown southsea.

Just remember the saying no matter what happens: Limpio es capital!

Kester:
I think the satellites and your skylight are no match for the 5 odd Gigabytes of pictures i hold from year 1...be afraid.
Also, do you remember the dustbin lorry that used to empty Rees in the mornings outside our windows??!!
Matt: put some clothes on, you're scaring your Baltic friend.
